Champions for kids.
A youth inspiration, education and wellbeing concept for rural NSW students. Champions for Kids is a developing program with reported traction to be confirmed through partner evidence.
The idea
Rural young people benefit enormously from being able to see what a full life looks like — sport, service, trade, study, art, science. Champions for Kids is a concept for bringing real people and real stories into small-town classrooms and community halls in a structured, ongoing way.
How it might work
- School and community-hosted sessions
- Mentors and role models from a wide range of walks of life
- Wellbeing conversations tailored to rural context
- Long-tail follow-up rather than one-off assemblies
Where it is today
The program is in a developing stage. Any partner, school, Rotary club or mentor references will only be published on this site once they are confirmed in writing.
